LOCAL FAMILY FIRST TO OPEN LUXURY GLAMPING EXPERIENCE NEAR RED RIVER GORGE
Dappled Light Adventures provides a luxurious getaway for those looking to reconnect.
BEATTYVILLE, KY – Dappled Light Adventures (DLA), a family-owned and Kentucky-based short-term rental operation, will be launching five new glamping sites for rental on March 21. DLA is located on 50 acres of privately owned property within Daniel Boone National Forest and minutes outside of scenic Red River Gorge.
“Our goal has always been to help people get outside; we believe that the outdoors are for everyone,” said Izaac Rains, Co-Owner/Operator of DLA. “Right now, people are craving experiences that will ‘reset’ their minds and help them connect with the people and things that matter.”
DLA’s glamping tents offer a simplified, comfortable space for guests to unplug from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives and relax surrounded by the sights and sounds of the great outdoors; even for guests that wouldn’t consider themselves outdoorsy. These unique dwellings allow guests to rest and recharge in luxuriously decorated, heavy-duty, canvas tents. The tents sit on raised platforms, with some reaching up to 10ft off ground, so guests can truly feel a part of the picturesque cliff-edge, valley, and sunset views. Guests also have access to on-property hiking and natural landmarks like waterfalls, cliffs, and overhangs.
While DLA aims to bring the outdoors in, they do offer a few of home’s creature comforts. Each glamping site is furnished with a queen-size bed, high-quality mattress, modern seating area, fireplace, full-size porch, and charcoal grills for outdoor cooking. This summer, construction will be completed on a fully on-grid bathroom and shower house as well.
“We want our guests to feel like they have stepped into what we like to call ‘the other side of the grid” said Kevin Rains, Co-Owner of DLA. “What we don’t want is for anyone to feel like they’re going without so we’ve put a lot of thought into the furnishings and amenities that are offered.”
